Mostly HR interview is the last part of the interview. Here comes the end of an interview. So many questions will be asked in this session sometimes. Or due to shortage of time few questions will be preferred to the candidate. Whatever it may be in this session be clear and give proper and positive answers to the questions and also be truth to the person. Whatever questions asked give true answers. This will help them to have a clear idea about yourself before they could hire you and if you go for a negative answer this may help them to push you out.
Here are few common HR questions asked in an interview.
Introduce yourself
For this question give short but clear details about you. Be sure that you have provided your resume before. So now they are clear about your family backgrounds and where you are from. So avoid all these information. Just greet them, thank them for given an opportunity, then what you did and in which field you have your experience.
Example:
Good evening sir,
This is Mahesh from Madurai.
Did my degree in XXX College under XY University.
Currently working in ABC Company.
Have experience in marketing field.
My current goals are……………
Thank you.
Why should I hire you?
Because I got knowledge of this position and I am a hardworking person too. So that I can finish my work on time. I do have experience on this particular field too which will help me to complete my work.
If you are a fresher just tell them being a fresher I don’t have experience though my hard work and theoretical knowledge will help me to complete my work on time.
What are your strengths?
For this question give your positive attitudes what all you have?
My strengths are hardworking, self motivation, have positive attitude, quick learner, team player, will finish work on time, will make clear decision.
What are your blind spot?
Be careful while answering this question. Because this question may help them to shoot you out. But give your true weakness here.
My only weakness is that I couldn’t change my attitude easily.
This kind of answer will give a good impression on you. So for none you will change your attitude.
Why do you want to work for our company?
Before applying for this company for sure you would have collected few details about the company. So give the answer you do you want to work there.
Tell them, I would like to work here because the job position I applied here suits my qualification and also its being a good challenge to me. Moreover I hope my experience will help me to achieve my goal.
Why do you resign your old job?
Be careful while answering this question too. Don’t say I need a change. Immediately they will ask you if you need a change will u resign from here too. You can’t give your answer here. If you say yes immediately they will shoot you out. If you say no they will ask you again then why you resign your old job. So just tell them
Sir, I would like to thank to my previous organisation, I have learned new working skills and managing ability within the team as well with whole branch office. Now I need to grow my self with change of working environment in different level, as like your organisation.
What makes you angry?
Frankly saying I feel anger when one cheats me who is close to me and disturb me when I am at work. Apart from that I won’t lose my temper easily.
Give an example for your creativity.
This question sounds interesting. Here you can prove your entire talent what they actually expect. According to your qualification you can reply to this question.
For example if you go for a marketing executive just prove yourself by taking a situation in a hand and prove your convincing skill there.
How much salary do you expect?
This company is so well established that I know, I will get the best package as per my qualifications and experience here.
Where do you see yourself five years from now?
Again it’s a tricky question here. Don’t tell them hope I will be in your position after 5 years. Just reply them,
I believe in work to do with sincerity, punctuality or creating new ideas or innovation in your field, definitely goes on top position on job profile regarding.
Tell me something about our company.
For sure they will ask this question. They just want to know how much knowledge you have about their company. So give all the positive details you have about their company. For sure you will have the details about the company.
May I contact your present employee for a reference?
For this question reply boldly. Few HR managers will enquire about you in your old company but not all. So don’t show your fear on your face. Even we are good in our old company for a fraction of second we might feel tensed because we don’t know what they will ask about us in the previous company.
How would you be an asset to our organization?
As we know that growth of every company depends on the performance of the employees. So because of my performance and positive approach towards work, I will surely be the asset for your organization.
