Healthy Recipes - Contest Entry 06 - Corriander leaves (Kothamalli) Thokku - Renjitham
Ingredients:
Coriander leaves (Kothamalli) - 1 bundle (1 kattu)
Curry leaves - 2 bunches
Green chillies - 2
Ginger - 1 small piece
Garlic - 2 cloves of Garlic
Cumin seed (Jeeragam) - 1/4 spoon
Onion - small piece
Tamarind - Tamarind seed size
Salt - To taste
Oil - As required
Bengal gram (Kadalai parupu) - 1 spoon
Asafoetida - pinch
Grated coconut - 2 spoon
Preparation
1. Clean coriander leaves and cut into small pieces.
2. Heat oil in a pan and saute coriander leaves, curry leaves, green chillies. Keep it aside.
3. In the same pan, fry Bengal gram and asafoetida till they turn into golden color.
4. Blend the saute'd leaves, fried gram and other ingredients in a mixie / blender.
Note: Do not add too much water while blending.
5. Check salt and serve.
