The model village!!!

Thuvarangadu village, which was once considered as a black mark of Tirunelveli district has now changed into a model village!

Once upon a time, the village which was filled with illicit liquor! But now it has got rid of all forms of alcohol!

The village looks very peaceful now! But till a few years ago, the village used to be a big head ache for the police with illicit liquor production, murders, robberies, etc etc.

Just as we watch in movies it's said that the village at that time was controlled by two different powerful sections.

But the unexpected death of a person from one of those two sections is said to be the turning point for the village!

While there was a changing attitude in the youngsters, officials also helped their cause by supporting and motivating them.

At this time the village was adopted by Ulaga samuthaya seva sangam. And they taught people to live a better life via Yoga.

This has led the villagers to get rid of both drinking and smoking habits!

Really a laudable effort! If people can change their mind, then opening any number of wine shops will not deter them!
