ICC Worldcup 2015 Squads - India

India

Reigning Champions India are surely a bit inexperienced this time. Playing well in Australian and NewZealand conditions are going to be a huge challenge for the young team.

Out of the 15 players, only four players have played in World cup. While experience of Dhoni and Kohli is a morale booster for the team, absence of retired Sachin Tendulkar and other senior players like Sehwag, Gambhir, Zaheer khan and especially Yuvraj might hurt the team a bit.

Still India has a formidable young team! Whether India can bring back the cup home depends on how well these youngsters adjust to the new conditions and perform well.

The stats clearly highlights the in-experience of the Indian Team. While the India batting department is strong, will the bowling department again put Indian into trouble?

Aswin hasn't been in great form recently and the same holds good for Mohit, Shami and Umesh also.

Can Buvaneshwar do some magic for Team India? Or can the wild horse Stuart Binny bring in some luck?

We need to wait and see!

In the Worldcup pool, Indian team is present in the Pool B along with Pakistan, West indies, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ireland and UAE.

Since only three victories are required to progress to the next level of the tournament, victory against minnows Zimbabwe, Ireland and UAE should help India go to the Quarter final stage.

Let's see how it all goes!

All the best Team India!
