12.  Barath and Rathi - VJ G 

‘Have you prepared the lunch? We’ll have it and go to the hospital’

‘Barathi came down after she got dressed up with a salwar, Barath went near her and said you smell so good, hmm aah,’ he was inhaling her.

‘What’s the problem? Barath, ‘he said, ‘there’s a lot to talk , maybe on the way to the hospital.  ‘Nila, can you give her a cup of coffee please, she is the lady of the house after my mom,’

‘Ok,sir, I know that.’

He went to his room, showered and dressed up with a jean and a blue tshirt, came down to meet his wife, Barthi thought when he was down on the flight,he  looked so stunning with his casuals, thought she’d seen him many times in this dress, every time she see him he is new to him, she said ’you really look handsome Barath,’

‘hmm, we’ll have someone else stay in the hospital for nights and we’ll sleep in the hotel, ‘ he told her with a husky voice, it made her shiver

He thought that he should certainly do it, he wanted her. He will talk to Selvam about it, so that he can be with Barathi and get, everything that he missed.

They had the lunch and told the servants to take care of the house and keep all the doors closed, all the time, and not to let anyone in. He should be informed if anyone comes here.

They went to hospital where his mother was in the same state as he saw her this morning.

Barath called Selvam, and told him and Barathi at the same time, what had happened to his mom, and who did it.  He told him that I’ll leave Barathi in the hotel and she can take care of our business from the hotel, since, everything is available in the hotel business center. I do not want Barathi to be here when that woman comes , I may have to complain to the police for her attempt to murder of my mom in my absence.

Selvam said, ‘you should complain to the police. I want you to be here in nights, in the room, so that you can protect her from that evil. You know I’ll be in the nearby hotel and can immediately come here if there’s a problem, in the day you go home and rest yourself.’

‘Yes sir,’

‘I know you’d been working past two days, twenty four hours, you go now, I’ll leave Barathi in the hotel and come back,’

‘I’ll wait till you get back, one more thing, I’ve given complete details of the work in this ipad, madam can have it, should be useful to her.’

‘Well, thanks Selvam, this will definitely be useful to her’

He took Barathi to the hotel and said ‘ for a while you’ve got to be here, it may be like a hiding also, I do not want anything to happen to you like my mom, so please understand me, I know it sounds crazy to you, but it’s always prevention is better than cure,  I want to prevent from what may come to you, I’ll leave now, he gave a phone to her, anything you need or feel talking to me, do call me, you have everything you need to work our project and see if you can release funds to Hari, from now on it’s your decision to make on any projects to approve or disapprove,  bye darling, I love you so much, and I will miss you, take rest in the day to  entertain me in the evening’ he said that laughed louder and winked at his wife and he left from there,

She still was standing like a statue. She was of course looking forward to that evening.

She started working, so that she can be busy and wouldn’t feel the lonliness, she released the fund to Hari and sent the papers to lawyers to get the signatures from him and to handover the check to him.

Next she called her mom who is in US. Her mom picked up the call and she told about Barath’s mom and enquired about her and aunty, uncle. She told her mom that once mom come to her conscious we are thinking of bringing her to US and treat her, in case if that doesn’t happen you’ll come here and we will be together.

Her mom told her ‘not to worry about us Barathi, we’ll come to Bangalore see your in-law and we’ll go to Chennai , later we can meet once in a while when either of us find time. Now it’s important to take care of Barath’s mom.’

‘Okay  mom, I’ll again call you back tomorrow,’

She was tired and had a jet lag, she went to sleep, when she woke up it’s almost six, she went to the bathroom had a shower and came out and dressed up and called service for coffee and some snacks.

The snacks and the coffee arrived and the time was seven, she called her husband, he picked up the call and said he is waiting for Selvam, and he was thinking of her all day,

He asked her ‘what did you do sweetheart?’

‘She said ‘I just woke up as per your instructions’ he laughed and so as she.

She knew, why was he laughing….? She asked him ‘Did you eat anything?’

‘Yes, sweetie, I had dosa, in the restaurant, how about you?’

She said “yes, I did’

‘Ok , will leave when Selvam gets here’
