The clerk thinks we are crazy
You won’t believe what happened today!
The bell actually rang after the last period! So everyone was packing their bags while I was taking pictures of this cute little fly that was sitting on my hand.
Then Mrs. Butter said,
“Bye, Potato chips!”
I turned to my friend Cheryl and asked her,
“She wants us to buy potato chips?”
Cheryl just shrugged.
We walked out to the front of the school and waited for Selina to come out. She’s always late.
When she finally came out, she asked us,
“Does Mrs. Flubelina Fluggerbutter want us to buy potato chips? Cause I’ve got some money. Let’s go down to the convenience store next to my house”
We walked down to the lane next to mine and walked into the convenience store.
“Excuse me” said Cheryl to the store clerk.
“We need some potato chips. How much would 3 bags cost?”
“Um,” the store clerk stared at us and then said,
“Well it depends on what type of chips you buy and also what brand you buy”
“Oh! Well then I guess…”
Cheryl turned to us and asked what type of chips we should buy.
“Um, well I don’t really think Mrs. Flubelina Fluggerbutter told us specifically what type of chips to buy” I said
“Your teacher told you to buy potato chips?” said the clerk.
