Shoba cuddled her daughter.
“It’s alright dear. Everything’s going to be fine,” Shoba assured her daughter.
But when they brought Bavi into the operating room, Shoba felt dizzy. Luckily for her, Murthy had anticipated that and was standing closer to her.
“Bavi will be fine, Shoba,’ he said, trying to make her feel better.
The surgery went on for almost six hours. When the door finally opened, Baskar could feel his heart coming to his mouth.
“It’s a success!” announced the doctor to cheer up the family.
Murthy and Shoba hugged each other in delight, and tears started rolling down their cheeks. Baskar shook hands with the doctor and thanked him for the professional help.

“I don’t want this,” stuttered Ashokan as he saw the huge amount written on the check.
But Bavi insisted.
“Please take this. This is not my dad’s money. This is the amount I have in my personal savings. You have given me my life back. No amount can match it.”
“I donated blood, just like thousands of people do every day. Please don’t make it a big thing,” protested Ashokan humbly.
“Ashokan, this is not a gift. This is my way of saying thanks. Please accept my thanks,” pleaded Bavi.
