"I am not sure mom... Should be in her early twenties may be 22 or 23...."
"Oh ok..." said Seetha thoughtfully.
"She is very young..." added Seetha as if to convey something to Dinakaran.
But Dinakaran appeared to be lost in his own thoughts...
"Yes young... very young... I don't know why, I just feel as if..."
"As if???? " interrupted Seetha.
Dinakaran looked at his mother and said,
"She is so .. What to say... I can't think of the apt term..."
"oho!!!" Seetha’s voice was a bit sarcastic!
"Yes mom... I don't know why but I feel sort of brotherly affection towards her...."
"Brotherly?????"
"Yes mom..." said Dinakaran somewhat boyishly.
Seetha started laughing out loud. She had so many other plans in her mind and was for a few minutes very anxious... But hearing what her son said made her very happy. Dinakaran looked at his mother curiously.
"What's wrong with you mom???"
"Nothing Dinu... I would like to meet this Kavya too... Take me with you when you visit your development office next time."
"Sure mom... I will do it... But why are you sitting here in the garden... Come inside.. It’s a bit hot right?"
"It's ok Dinu... Thulasi said she will come here today to handover my profit share..."
"But how is it related to you staying here?"
"No Dinu... For some reason you both seem to not get along well... So I think it's better if you both don't meet at all..."
Dinakaran shrugged his shoulders, as if he doesn't care.
"Ok mom, I am going to our gym and I will be back in another 30 - 45 minutes... If your friend doesn't visit you by then, you should come inside..."
"Sure..." said Seetha with a smile.
Once Dinakaran left the place, Seetha started thinking again... She liked Thulasi a lot. Though she is not rich, she had all other good qualities. Also she is very beautiful. Seetha felt Thulasi will be an ideal match for her son. But for some reason they both seemed to fight every time they meet. But, that's what hero and heroine do in movies at first, thought Seetha with a smile. She should do something....
"Hello Seetha madam, what's this??? The climate seems to have made an impact on you..."
Thulasi's voice interrupted Seetha's thoughts. She smiled at Thulasi. Thulasi was looking pretty in a simple light red sari. Thulasi's beauty is not something that's dominant or very bright, but it something that soothes you... Just like the holy plant Thulasi...
With these thoughts in her mind, Seetha asked Thulasi to sit down.
Thulasi sat in the chair without any hesitation. She always felt very comfortable in the presence of Seetha, just opposite to her feelings towards her son....
Thulasi took out a cheque and handed it over to Seetha. To begin with, Dinakaran has insisted to check all their records before accepting Seetha's profit share. But from last month he has asked Thulasi to hand over the cheque directly to Seetha. Even before Thulasi could believe it, he insisted that he wanted to do random checks instead of this regular checking which will help people who try to cheat to escape. Thulasi was really offended by his remarks. She can't understand why he should behave like that when he has no idea about her. And she has not done anything wrong to make him behave so badly too... But she liked Seetha a lot and hence didn't say anything harsh. She didn't want to hurt Seetha...
Seetha took the cheque from Thulasi but didn't even look into it. She started chit chatting with Thulasi. Thulasi who was aware that Seetha likes to speak about some common things to her, also stayed back to give her company. While discussing something suddenly Seetha said,
"Oh Thulasi, I forgot to give you some snacks... Give me few minutes, I will go and get you some snacks..."
"That's ok madam... no problems..."
"No.... That's not right... you be here... I will go and bring you some snacks..."
