Chillzee Recipes - Falafel - S Rekha
Ingredients
1 cup chickpeas (soaked overnight)
1 onion
Handful of cilantro
1 Tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1 Teaspoon cumin coriander powder
Salt and chilli powder to taste
Oil for deep frying
2 teaspoon plain flour
Procedure
Drain the chickpeas.
Coarsely grind chickpeas, onion and ginger garlic.
Towards the end add in cilantro and rest of the spices.
Do not add too much of water, just sprinkle as you go about the process.
It must be hard enough to shape into patties.
If its not of that consistency, add the plain flour.
Heat the oil.
Fry the patties on each side until lightly - golden brown.
There are a few variations available, this is just one of them. You can always get creative and put your spin on it.
