Chillzee Recipes - Thinai Arisi Bisibela Bath
Ingredients:
Thinai arisi - 1/2 cup
Toor dal - 1/2 cup
Finely chopped vegetables ( carrots, beans, potato,peas, onion, tomato)
Bisibela bath powder or sambar powder 1 tbspn
Chilli powder 1/2 spoon
salt
For seasoning:
mustard seeds ,urud dal, chana dal, curry leaves, turmeric powder and cashews
Procedure
1.Wash Thinai and toor dal and soak it for 15- 20 minutes
2.In a pan heat three spoons of oil and add mustard seeds urud dal, chana dal
3. After they splutter , add curry leaves and onion and fry them till the onion becomes translucent
4. Add tomatoes and fry them till they become mashy.
5.Add the remaining vegetables and and fry for few minutes
6.Add bisebela bath powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt
7.Drain the soaked thinai and toor dal ,add them and mix well.
8.Add 4/5 glasses of water and pressure cook for 4/5 whistles
9.After the pressure subsides mix it well and your hot-hot bisibela bath is ready
10 Garnish it with roasted cashews and serve.
