Ardha Chakrasana - Half wheel yogasanam
- Stand erect keeping the heels together and toes a little apart.
- Expand the chest and drop the shoulders to a relaxed position. Keep the neck straight.
- Keep the fingers together, facing downwards and stretch the palms along the thighs by the sides.
- Support the back at the waist by the palms, and exhale.
- Bend backwards from the lumbar region.
- Bend the neck backwards, stretching the muscles of the neck. Inhale while bending.
- Now, breathe normally .
- Come back to vertical position, keeping the support at the back at the waist by the palms. Inhale
- Release the hands from the support of the waist while exhaling.
Benefits of Ardha Chakrasana:
- Tones up the dorsal muscles and calves.
- Improves blood flow to chest and neck regions.
- Helps to relax respiratory organs.
