What's wrong with the Indian Cricket team?

SachinThe performance of Indian cricket team in the ongoing India-Australia test series has raised a lot of eyebrows. Indian team performing badly in Australia and for that case in abroad is not a new story. But it's fairly surprising to see the way the team meekly surrendering to a relatively not-that-strong Australian team.

Of course we won the world cup only last year and most of the players did well in the home series against the England and West Indies. So it's not that the players are not in-form. But once we have a series away from home, the players and for that case the whole team seems to have a different body language.

Though, we all like to deny (as always), it really looks like the 20-20 games and the IPL in particular has had a very bad impact on our national cricket team. All players want to play in IPL rather than other domestic matches. Ofcourse some of them seems to prefer IPL over national team also. Whether this is the real reason for Indian cricket team's poor performance against England and Australia? We can never say for sure.

But Indian team losing 4-0 to Australia or England is not bad if the team atleast shows some fighting spirit. What every fan wants to see is his team putting a fighting performance in each and every match.

As they say winning or losing never matters if you really play or atleast show intent to play upto your potential.

Right from 80's we hear people talking about Indian Batsmen struggling against pacers. But then there seems to be no improvement yet :( .But on the contrary, nowadays, only a few non-subcontinent players struggle against the subcontinent weapon ‘SPIN’.

Instead of axing player(s) or coach, hope BCCI will take up some constructive measures to improve the team's AWAY performance.
