IPL 7 (2014) Gossips, Rumors and Updates!

Though IPL usually happens in the months of April and May, already there are so many news floating around and as always there is more attention towards the dashing cricked event.

Player retaining:

As per the latest buzz in the internet, teams can retain up to five players from their existing team.

New Jokers card system:

Couple of TV news sites has reported about a proposed "Jokers card" system for IPL 7. Though there is no official word on it yet, it is said that this system will help teams to retain more than five players.
As per the news, the teams retaining five players can use up to three joker cards, while those who don't want to retain their players can use up to five joker cards.

Lesser foreign players?

There are also reports that there will be less number of foreign players in IPL7. As per reports, IPL will allow each team to register only 9 players opposed to the allowed limit of 11 till last year.

Auction:

Talking about auctions for IPL 2014, there are no new updates on the participation of English and Pakistani players yet. But we should hear new updates as soon as the auction date is announced officially.

Schedule & Venue

Also there are lots of discussions going on the venues and schedule of the event since it clashes with the Indian parliamentary election 2014. IPL 2 was moved to South Africa due to the same reason and it would be interesting to see how it goes this year.
It's rumored that, if required some of the matches of the tournament will be played in SriLanka or Bangladesh...
