Ramani Chandran - Ullam Marakudhillai Unnai

Ranjani lives alone with her nine year old son Nandhakumaran in Trichy. Nandhakumaran keeps on bugging Ranjani about his father... But since Ranjani is not in a position to share the truth with him, he starts showing his anger in negative means... He starts dis-obeying his mother, his marks go down etc etc...

Ranjani is very reluctant to tell Nanthakumaran about his father, Narendhran because Narendhran doubted Ranjani's character... For some unknown reason, narendhran also believes that he is not the father of Ranjani's son...

Though Ranjani is worried about her son, she believes that her son will one day understand her feelings and become good...

As if to add more worries to her life, her husband Narenthran sends divorce notice to her after 9 years. Thoough Ranjani has been expecting this for the past nine years, it still impacts her very much.

Almost at the same time she comes to know that her aunt who took care of her after her parents died is not well. Since Ranjani met her husband Narendhran while staying at this aunt's house, she is a bit reluctant to travel but finally changes her mind to help her ill aunt... She also believes that Narendhran will be in Chennai and will not be available in the village...

But as fate would have it, Narendhran visits the village at the same time that ranjani and her son reaches the village. Nandhakumaran identifies his father and is very happy but Ranjani feels very discomfortable...

Nadhakumaran starts meeting his father without his mother's knowledge and a strong bond slowly grows between them... When Ranjani comes to know about it, she is very angry and scolds Narendhran for giving false hopes to Nandhakumaran. But Narendhran doesn't accept it...

So ranjani decides to leave the village and go back to work in Trichy... But Nandhakumaran is very upset and he tries to do all possible things to upset his mother, including stealing!

Ranjani is shocked...

So will Nandhakumaran change?

Will Narendhran realize Ranjani is a good girl?
