I brushed my teeth each morning

I brushed my teeth each night

I brushed my teeth each time I ate

My dentist cheered, "All right!"

But then one day I said, "No way!

I'll brush my teeth no more."

I didn't brush for one whole week

And then for four weeks more.

And then for eight weeks after that

I did not brush a lick

I started chewing bubble gum

And chewed stick after stick.

I kept it up for one whole year

No brushing like I said

My dentist found no cavities

My teeth fell out instead!
