Thulasi nodded, he signed her to follow him and went outside to the reception. Thulasi gave a quick glance to Uma and followed him. Once in the reception, he turned back and asked,
"So now what is your plan? You think you can try and melt me??? I am not an ice like Krishna. I am a stone..."
Since Thulasi was expecting something like this, it didn't hit her hard.
"Sir, I don't know why but you seem to have a very bad impression about my family. We are not like that. I had no idea that Seetha amma is your mother. I took the bag by mistake and I came here to return it back. If I am bad, why should I return it back???"
"May be you want something more. Or maybe you just thought you can use this opportunity to change my heart. Or maybe you are jealous of your own sister and you want to catch the big fish yourself..."
"Oh! Sir, Can I tell you a truth? I have never seen anyone bragging like this... You not just brag, you are egoistic and also prejudiced. I don't know the real reason for your behavior but all that I can say is the important thing in life is TRUST... No, let me finish. Yes you can't trust a person at the first sight but you can atleast give benefit of doubt till you know about that person. Have you seen my sister before? What do you know about her? What do you know about me and my family? How can you say all these things just like that? I know I can't advice you, but still.... this is very wrong sir... I will try to arrange the money for my sister's marriage and I wish that I will never get a chance to meet you again..."
Before Thulasi could finish her long speech, she heard Uma's voice calling for her.
"Thulasi.... amma is here..."
Thulasi turned to Dinakar and said,
"I don't want to discuss about our meeting with your mother... So I am going inside and as I said I wish this is the last time we meet... Probably that's better for both of us and also for my sister. Thanks sir"
She left the place immediately without even looking back at him.
She entered the hall and said,
"Sorry amma, the wall decoration in the reception is too good. That would look great in our boutique also... So I was just glancing through..."
It was not really a lie, she did think about it while waiting there.
"Oh! you really liked it? That's my work..."
"Really?" said the surprised young women together.
"Yes, yes..." said Seetha winking.
She then gave a simple sari and blouse bit to them. Though surprised, both of them received it without uttering a word. Then they shared their boutique's visiting card and then waved good bye to the elderly woman.
Once outside the home, Uma said,
"I like Seetha amma so much but I just hate her son. I guess she is a bit lonely in the house and I would not be surprised if she gives us a visit in our boutique..."
Thulasi also nodded in acceptance.
Later that day, after reaching home, while Thulasi was struggling to find words to explain about her meeting with Abirami to the enquiring Saradha, Kavya interrupted and said,
"Amma, Akka, I have taken a decision. I want to share it with you. I don't want anyone to discuss about my marriage for now. I have discussed this with Krishna also... Let Krishna go abroad, meanwhile I will share the family responsibilities with akka... Once we have all our debts closed and akka also married, we will start talking about my marriage..."
Thulasi and Saradha were spell bound hearing this. While Thulasi was shocked, Saradha was happy. The mother hugged her younger daughter and said,
"Thanks Kavi... You have taken a wise decision..."
