15. Rose and Thorn - Sandhya
Murthy and Shoba were all set to attend the concert. Just when they were about to leave Baskar came in front of them.
Both Murthy and Shoba were surprised to see that Baskar was well-dressed.
“Are you going out somewhere Baski?” asked the surprised Shoba
“I'm very bored mom. So, I have decided to accompany you to the concert. And Dad, I hope you still have those extra tickets with you” said Baskar
Murthy started to giggle, while Shoba was much more elegant in her reaction.
“I am very happy to hear that Baski. Even if your dad has given away all those tickets, I will take you with me. Come on Baskar” she said to her son.
“But Mom I want to confirm that dad has tickets. Otherwise, it will not look good to go and stand there without a valid ticket” explained Baskar.
“Don't worry my son. I have a few extra tickets with me. So, you are most welcome to join us. It would have been good if Bavi could have joined us too”
“It’s OK dad. We all know that Bavi prefers to read. So it is better for her to wind up with a book, and we also have the nurse to take care of her at home”
“Yeah that’s true. Let us not delay any further” accepted Murthy.
All three of them reached the concert hall on time. Shoba was very happy that Baskar accompanied them.
He has always dodged her requests to come out of his den. He preferred to stay locked at home. And that’s why he had started his office right inside his home.
Shoba felt bad for him. She knew that Baskar used to love to go out and hang out and have fun with his friends.
She was also happy to know that he joined them for the sake of Suba. Atleast, that’s what Murthy implied. It may or may not be true. But she hoped for the best.
She knew Baskar was good at heart.
