19. Rose and Thorn - Sandhya
"S- - -ir---"
For the first time, Subha stammered a bit. Baskar kept on staring at her without uttering anything.
Subha couldn’t decide what to tell him. Working evening shifts in Boss consulting is no more a burden for her. She enjoyed it.
She especially enjoyed meeting Baskar and sharing her daily quotes.
Strangely, just imagining a life without seeing him seemed pretty ordinary.
But then what could she tell him? Subha could sense that he had put her in a spot.
“I like the job sir….. I… think… it will help me… I mean… this extra experience will look good on my resume… It will surely help my MBA aspirations”
Subha stammered like a toddler, but once she got the idea about resume, she stuck with that!
“I hope you understand, sir. Experience is everything. If I could say I worked for Boss consulting even as an intern for a year, it adds extra weightage to my resume”
Baskar shook his head as if he was disappointed. But even before Subha could ponder on that thought, he quickly changed his expression.
“I understand that Subha. But I think we could manage without you. Don’t worry about your resume and experience. I will ask Sarathy to hand over a one-year experience letter to you.”
