21. Rose and Thorn - Sandhya

“Subha!” said a surprised Murthy as Subha stood in his home’s entrance with a smile.

“Sir, I am here to invite you for my best friend Suja’s marriage. I hope you remember her,” said Subha.

“I do, Subha. Please come in,” Murthy welcomed her.

Subha obliged and followed him inside.

“Suja really wanted to come and invite you in person, but she is stuck in her home. She couldn’t come to Chennai now. So, please don’t mistake her for sending me to invito on her behalf. And please do come and bless the couple,” said Subha in a polite manner.

Just as Suba finished, Shoba came there pushing Bavi’s wheelchair.

Subha again repeated her invite and politely requested Shoba and her family to attend Suja’s marriage.

“Apology? You?” said Bavi in an indifferent tone.

Subha was taken aback by Bavi’s tone and expression. It took Subha a lot of mental exercise to visit Baskar’s home. She was praying that he shouldn’t be there and luckily for her, he is missing. But Bavi seems to fill his void!
