The Body's Natural Signals: Hiccups, Yawns, and Sneezes Explained

Do you know why we get hiccups, sneezes, and yawns? All these are signals that the body gives us. Let us find out why the body gives us such signals.

Yawn

When we repeat the most boring work and have the same teacher all day long, we may yawn unconsciously. It is not true that the body does this to send more oxygen to the brain. Yawning occurs when the brain overheats. Through this, the brain resets itself. Yawning occurs even in areas where heat changes occur.

Hiccups

Hiccups are a sign that you are eating too fast. Similarly, hiccups occur due to overeating and difficulty in breathing.

Sudden Awakening

You are sleeping well. Suddenly, you wake up with a startled noise. If this has happened to you, you are lucky! Research has found that the brain does this to save us from death. When we sleep, pulse rate and heart rate are reduced. Muscles become less active and relaxed. Because of this, the body sends a signal to the brain that we are dead. But the brain realizes we're not dead yet and wakes us up.

Skin Wrinkles on the Fingers!

After soaking your hand in water for ten to fifteen minutes, the skin on your fingers will have shrunk. You may notice these wrinkles after a long swim in a river, lake, or swimming pool. 'The beauty of the fingers is gone...!' That may be upsetting. When you touch an object with a wet hand, it is more likely to slip. But since our body makes these wrinkles, we are able to grip any object well.

After Sleep Stretching!

At night, when we sleep, our muscles begin to rest. When we wake up and stretch our hands and legs after a good night’s sleep, the body also wakes up these muscles by breaking the lethargy. Even when we are tired, we stretch our hands. This increases the blood flow to the muscles and makes them active.

Sneeze

When bacteria, allergens, dust, etc., enter the nose, we sneeze without realizing it. This is a good way for the body to get rid of harmful substances.

How many wonders the body hides within itself!
