2022 Gardening Diaries - 01. Hedge Trimming - Bindu Vinod
14th April 2022
Once spring blossoms, the first things that come to mind about my front yard and backyard are hedge trimming and weed removal.
Compared to weed removal, hedge trimming is relatively easy for me because I have a couple of tools to support me.
I am not very good at cutting hedges to a shape or to a perfect line like a professional. That should be obvious. But I am OK with cutting them to be maintainable.
So, I am going to start with trimming hedges.
Here’s how they look to begin with.

Sorry, I didn’t get a chance to click many pictures because I was in a hurry to finish it off and go watch the Tamil movie Beast.
If you have read my other blog post about the Valimai movie, I know what you are thinking! I also wanted to write about my favorite scene from Beast. But I never got an opportunity because of time constraints. I will try to write and post it soon.
Anyways, coming back to my gardening adventure, here’s how my hedges and shrubs look after my handy work. It took me about an hour to trim them all.

Not bad, I guess. What do you think?
