Lawyers should hate their life
“But I hate school!” I told my mom when she told me that the backpack I was taking didn’t have anything in it but a camera.
“And I don’t care if I fail. Just don’t act all surprised if I do, because I’m giving you a warning.”
My mom looked at me like she wanted to argue, but then her expression changed, then changed again then changed a million zillion more times. Then she just went downstairs to see what my sister Alia was doing.
Alia is in college right now so she can basically do anything she wants including bossing me around and making chocolate brownies.
Me, Ava, age 10; I have no rights at all except playing video games for half an hour and going to school for 7 hours. Totally unfair right?
The way people judge you if your name is Alia and if your name is Ava,… it needs to be changed.
I would be a lawyer if I wanted to, but I want to be more of a go around the world with your friends’ type.
No offence to lawyers, but if you don’t change the law when you’re a lawyer, then you pretty much just bought yourself a bad, sad, boring life.
Anyways off I went to the all-time favorite school.
Our teacher thinks we are food.
On my walk to school, I met my friend Selena, who just moved into my neighborhood.
Selena you can say is basically like me, … but without the curly part of the hair and without the height and favorite stuff and definitely without the attitude.
Come to think of it, Selena is nothing like me. She is a perfect 10.
When we reached school, I was greeted with some pretty decent stuff like,
‘Hi! Selena’ and ‘Hi! Girl whoever you are’ and more ‘Hi Selena’ and blah blah.
Anyways when I reached my homeroom, I found my other friend, Cheryl, sitting in the first row. Typical Cheryl.
She’s early to class and she’s a good friend and all, but the thing that really made her my friend was the fact that she was really kind and nice.
I sat in the bench next to her, when our teacher, Mrs. Flubelina Fluggerbutter, came into the class.
“Hey there potato chips!”
Now, you would have heard your teachers call you cupcakes or pumpkins, but apparently Mrs. Flubelina liked potato chips better. Whatever.
Anyways she came in and said something that made my heart stop.
Butter teaches us algebra
“Today we are going to learn about math!” Mrs Flubelina Fluggerbutter said.
You know what? I’m just going to call her Mrs. Butter.
So Mrs. Butter basically said the two words which you probably shouldn’t say if you want the children in your class to listen to you for more than 30 seconds learn. And math.
I got a heart attack. But I didn’t hear any one call me ambulance or panic like everyone did when my great – grandfather got a heart attack.
I told you we need to change the law. The lawyers in our city… Nope not going to work.
So, the teacher wrote an algebraic sum on the board.
3x + 5 = 26
I told my teacher that you don’t need to learn big sums like that until you get a driver’s license and then keep renewing it 3675 times and then have great – grandchildren.
And that lady stared at me like I was crazy.
In which, case in point, I am not angry. She has a name Flubelina flugger whatever and she thinks I am crazy?
Her brain must be messed up.
“Now potato” she said.
“Learning is fun when you put your heart to it!”
Riiiiight.
Go people
You know what? In school pretty much nothing happens, so, I guess we’ll just stop the story here and save us all some paper.
So go green! Or red, or blue or whatever color you want.
