Easy Carrot Rice
Ingredients:
Cooked rice (வேகவைத்த சாதம்) - 3/4 cup
Big size Carrots Grated (துருவிய காரட்) - 2 or 3
Green chilli (பச்சை மிளகாய்) - 1
Lemon (எலுமிச்சை) - half
Oil, Curryleaves (எண்ணெய், கருவேப்பிலை) - As required
Black gram (உளுந்து) - 2 teaspoon
Mustard seeds, Corriander leaves and salt (கடுகு, கொத்தமல்லி இலை மற்றும் தேவைக்கேற்ற உப்பு) - To taste
Cashew Nuts (Optional)
Preparation
- Keep all required items ready. Grate the carrots and cut the green chillies.
- Pour oil in a kadai.
- Add mustard seeds, curry leaves for sauteing and then add black gram.
- When Black gram is cooked, add the cut green chillies.
- Continue stirring and now add grated carrot.
- After 1 minute, add salt to taste and continue stirring the contents.
- When the carrot is half cooked, switch off the stove and add lemon juice.
- Now add cooked rice to the content and mix well.
- Add corriander leaves for flavor
- Also if required, decorate it with some cashew nuts on top.
This is a very healthy and easy item to prepare. It will take less than 10 minutes to prepare if you have grated carrots.
