Laali’s Jungle Tales - 01

Little Laali loves to watch animals. But she gets hurt when she sees them in cages or in zoos as prisoners. So she often goes for jungle safari with her parents to see her beloved animals in action. During such visits, she learns useful life lessons too.
The snake venture
In one such visit, Laali saw a snake.
The snake was very hungry. It seemed the snake was a lazy one. It had not saved any food. Though it was hungry, it was not willing to work or hunt its own food. Instead it decided to beg.
At first it asked one big snake.
“Anna, would you please give me some food? I’m very hungry. It will be a blessing for you, if you give me some food to eat.”
“Only a fool will help a lazy hand like you” yelled the big snake.
Then the lazy snake went to a little snake asking for help.
“Friend, please help me, I’m starving.”
The little one was merciful to give some food to this lazy one.
After a stomach full meal, the lazy snake wanted to have fun.
As it never worked and played always, it asked the little snake to give company.
“Sweet little boy, I need one more help from you. Nobody likes me, I’m alone. Would you please play with me?”
The little one offered this help as well.
Both were playing, rolling here and there on a tree branch.
Alas! They both fell down together on a lion resting under the tree.
The lion became furious as he was disturbed in his sleep.
He woke up, got both snakes and tore them into pieces by his paw.
Life lessons:
On seeing this Laali said “Oh, my God! Now I know why I should not take part in someone’s laziness or wrong doings in the name of help.”
Her Mom replied, you can always help at others need Laali, but when it comes to their desires beware.
