Laali’s Jungle Tales - 03
Little Laali loves to watch animals. But she gets hurt when she sees them in cages or in zoos as prisoners. So she often goes for jungle safari with her parents to see her beloved animals in action. During such visits, she learns useful life lessons too.
The lion cubs’ loss
In one such visit, Laali saw a lioness with her four children Leo, Layani, singaa and cubby.
The four cubs were fighting with each other.
The mother was trying to pacify them.
She inquired the reason for their quarrel.
Leo screamed “Oh, mom Layani scratched my head.”
Layani cut in “Liar, he only slapped me first”.
This time Singaa complained, showing his leg “I tried to stop their fight, but look at this momma, this Layani bite me.”
Then the last one cubby roared” if Layani bit you, why on earth you throw stones at me?”
Singaa explained” Mom, I threw at Layani only, but by mistake it hit cubby”.
Now all four cubs started speaking, screaming and roaring at one another on a same time.
Momma Lioness couldn’t hear anything properly.
At the end she roared like a thunder “STOP IT”
Spellbound silence came to existence.
“First have your lunch” saying that momma lioness looked for the food she had brought just then for her hungry kids.
Oh’, no, some had stolen the food, when the momma lioness was distracted by those siblings’ fight.
Since the food was lost, all the four cubs had to starve, till momma would bring food next time.
Life lessons:
On seeing this Laali said “Mom now I know why I should not fight with my brother”.
Mom replied, “Not only with your brother Laali, you should not fight with your cousins and classmates too. You should be a team player always.”
