“Stupid girl…” murmured Baskar.
Right then his intercom started ringing.
“Hello, Baskar here…”
“Sir, a lady from Angel home is here to meet you…”
“I don’t want to meet any one without appointment…”
“But sir, she says it will take only ten to fifteen minutes…”
Baskar looked at the letter in his hand and changed his mind.
“Yes send her in…”
He banged the receiver back and turned his attention towards Sarathy.
“Sarathy what do you think about MR dealings???”
“It sounds like a good deal sir… But we need to hurry and send our quote… We are already late…”
“Then what are you waiting for? Immediately prepare our quote and send it… I want it to be done today…”
“But sir, Shivani quit just now… We need to find a new stenographer to replace her…”
There was a knock in the door…
“Come in…” shouted Baskar but continued to talk to Sarathy.
“Why didn’t you tell this to me before…? I would have asked that stupid girl to type this letter before leaving…”
As always Sarathy fumed inside. He was getting tired of this monster’s rudeness… But he couldn’t afford to lose his job with his daughter only in the first year of college…
He tried to control himself and turned his attention towards the girl who entered the room…
Sarathy’s gaze or something made Baskar also to turn towards her…
Subha was standing there with a smile…
“Good evening sir…”
“Who the hell are you???”
Baskar’s rudeness stunned Subha. Though Suji mentioned him as a monster, she didn’t expect such a great welcome.
“I am Subha…” she stammered…
“So what??? Are you so popular that I can identify you just by your name?”
“No sir, I am here on behalf of Angel’s home…”
“Oh yeah… Good that you are here… I have the formal letter typed… Can you give it to that lady…? What’s her name…? Hmmm…”
“You mean, Jaya ma’am???”
“Oh yes… Jaya…. Give it to her… From now on we will handle everything legally… No more direct meetings…”
Baskar turned to Sarathy and asked,
“We need to finish MR quote today, what’s your suggestion?”
But Sarathy was still looking in the other direction.
Baskar’s short temper came into foray again… He turned towards Subha and scorned,
“Why are you still standing here???”
“But sir, you didn’t even listen to me…”
“Why should I??? Hey wait wait, you said you are here on behalf of that orphanage???”
“Yes…”
“Oh, are you a lawyer then???”
“No sir, my friend works there and she asked me to talk to you and try to change your mind…”
Baskar’s face became red… He gave a distasteful look at Subha…
“Why are you girls becoming so cheap nowadays???”
“SIR!!!” screamed Subha angrily.
“I am a content writer in XYZ online solutions and I came here to help my friend…”
Baskar gave her a scrutinizing look…
“You said you are a content writer?”
“Yes…”
“So you know typing???”
“Yes… But…”
“Great…. Now take this notepad, note down my dictation and type it for me… Sarathy will help you to take the print out…”
For the first time, Subha lost her patience.
“Why on this earth should I do it for you?”
“Just the same reason why I should spare my precious time for that waste orphanage…”
Suji is correct… He is really a MONSTER… HEARTLESS MONSTER...
