05.  Barath and Rathi - VJ G

Barath and Barathi went to Barath’s apartment. Barath took her apartment key and gave it to his secretary and told him to get her things including all the photos in there.

They two sat on the sofa,  Barathi looked at the apartment which had four bedroom and huge living and a huge balcony where they had plant pots with a swing. Looked very nice, he furnished two bed rooms with beds for the personal use and two bed rooms to office use.

She looked too tired due to the lack of sleep the previous night. Barath told her to take rest in the room. There are some clothes inside the closet get, yourself changed and get some sleep, I have some work, I’ll finish it by then, he said.

She got a call from her head office and they said the approval has been faxed and the original has been sent to the branch. She called Ramya and gave her the instruction, on what to do with that and she told her to inform the manager about her absence for a week.

She opened the closet, there was new night dress and salwars and everything was new, she was wondering when did he get all of these and how? She opened the door to ask him and she heard his voice talking to someone in the office.  While she was turning back to go back to the bed room, he came behind her asking ‘you didn’t change your dress yet? She said ‘yes, I will’.

He asked ‘her do you want to ask me something’ she asked him ’when did you get these new dress and how?

He smiled at her kissing her cheek, she was colored, he said ‘you are my wife, when you come here I know what are your needs, so I messaged selvam to buy all of these for you yesterday itself’

She was surprised by his answer and said nothing

Now ‘go relax’ he said that and he took her up to the bedroom and he went back.

She was thinking how much he is caring about me, she got her dress changed and laid on the bed.

She was thinking, what is that she was doing? Did not inform her parents about her marriage, though the marriage is her decision, she’d to inform her parents who has been dreaming of her future her marriage everything, how can she keep it from them, she was worried on how to tell her parents? Will she be able to face them, so far she has never done anything without their permission.

She went to sleep thinking and worrying

When she woke up it was already five in the evening, she was unable to understand, where she is and the place looked unfamiliar. She came to her senses and understood that she was married today morning and she started to think of the night with Barath and was shivering, she went to bathroom and bathed and came out dressed.

Barath had the evening snack and coffee ready for her when she came out. She was once again surprised to see him so affectionate. He called her to sit by his side on the sofa, so she went and sat giving little distance between them.

He came close to her and said ‘come on eat this snack,’ he said that he took one plate for him

She was losing her sense of his closeness and not able to move and he looked very cool about it.

He asked ‘what you don’t like this?’ she said ‘no, I like it’  

‘Then eat it’ he said and fed her from his plate, she did not open her mouth, she was scared

He said ‘come on open your mouth sweetheart’ she did and he fed her

She took her plate in her hands and he said ‘keep it down and I will feed you’ she said ‘no, I will eat myself’

He stared at her and said ‘I am yours, you and me have every right to give and take, so eat this now’  his voice was stern, she could not refuse it.

She listened to him. When she see him, as if he has a magic stick, she could not refuse anything he says or do, she was thinking what is happening to me when he is around me. No answers found.

They finished eating the snacks and he took the plates to the  kitchen sink and washed them.

She told him ‘I got a call from our head office today and they have approved your request’

‘Oh baby thanks for your help’ he said that and pulled her to his arms hugged and kissed her. She said nothing and tried to get away from his hug.

He asked her if she wants to sit in the swing, he did not wait for her answer, he dragged her and moved out to balcony. She liked that place.

She heard the phone ringing, she came back to the presence and stood up and picked up the phone, where she plugged it to charge the night before.

Her aunt called her asking her ‘how did it go last night, did you sleep well?’ she asked her

She then felt she’d been thinking of her past and she could not stand, she said ‘yes aunty I slept well, how are you and uncle? She asked her back and went to the bed and sat there.

Aunt asked her ‘where are you? Are you at work?’ she asked

Barathi said ‘no I’ll leave a bit later, I’ve some work to catch up’ and did not want her to know that she’d not slept the previous night.
