“Yes… And Ranjan really supported her well… Ranjan I don’t have any words to thank you… You have been so kind to do your part in Thulasi’s drama… I hope you don’t have any issues in Thulasi marrying me…”
Ranjan didn’t know what to say! He understood that Dinakaran has put him in a spot. Though he had other plans in his mind, he understood that saying something negatively in front of his CEO would impact him very badly. He has been trying hard for a long term onsite plan… He knew that Thulasi is Aladdin’s magic lamp… But if that plan doesn’t work out, his career is his plan B and hence he didn’t want to jeopardize his career. So he decided to act as a gentleman in front of Kamal.
“Oh yes Mister Dinakaran! What issues will I have? I am very happy…” he said with a false smile.
“Thank you Ranjan… Thulasi was worried that you will feel bad when we share the truth with you…”
“Oh yes, I know about her…” said Ranjan looking at Thulasi.
Thulasi stayed quiet till they came out and reached the parking area. Dinakaran opened the car doors and looked at Thulasi.
“What darling? You are still in surprise?”
Thulasi looked at him and came near him and hugged him tight.
“Hey Thulasi, what’s this? We are in a public place… Come on darling…”
Though he said that, his hands also cuddled Thulasi. They stood like that for a few more seconds till Thulasi regained her composure. She hurriedly moved away from him. Dinakaran looked at her red face and said in a teasing tone,
“Hmm… If you want, you can hug me even in public place but there are million conditions for me…”
Then he tried to imitate Thulasi’s voice and said
“No Dinu, only after marriage…”
Thulasi tried to look at him angrily but failed miserably and started laughing. Dinakaran also joined her.
“So darling all your worries are covered now right? Ranjan will not try to disturb you again… I have asked Kamal to give him a very looooong onsite term as per his wish…”
“But how come…”
“I have a share in this company darling…” interrupted Dinakaran even before she could complete her question.
“Oh!”
“See all my hard work is helping you in some way…”
“Hmmm…” smiled Thulasi.
“So darling no more worries, ok?”
“Yes…”
“What happened?”
“I don’t know Dinu… I am just not feeling very comfortable…”
“With what?”
“You know what Ranjan’s parents told about me right?”
“Come on Thulasi!”
“No Dinu, what if I am really unlucky?”
“Oh yes, so much unlucky to miss the great Ranjan and become the wife of this simple Dinakaran…”
“Pch Dinu… I am worried about you…”
“Really? Then remove your restrictions… I will teach you how to stop worrying…”
“Dinu!”
“Ha ha ha… See Thulasi, you believe in god right? Everything happens for good… This Ranjan, his parents everyone came in your life just as a mean to help you meet me… ”
“Oh really…”
“Yes Thulasi, you know that I always stay away from women right?”
“Yes, Seetha amma told me your story…”
“What story?”
“About your friend, his wife…”
Dinakaran looked at her.
“What?”
Thulasi shared what she heard from Seetha and Dinakaran burst into laughter.
“What happened?” asked Thulasi angrily.
“I was just kidding to my mom… I don’t think she took that seriously… Guess she just wanted to tell you some story…”
“Hmmm… I don’t think Seetha amma will do that… but if that’s not the reason, what’s the real reason?”
“Pch, no specific reason Thulasi. See this world is not only made of good people, there are bad people too… And ofcourse all these bad people are not just men… Obviously while becoming a successful entrepreneur I faced many such women… As I told you before everyone is not bad but everyone is not good too… Since they were sort of distracting me, I decided to stay away and concentrate in my business…”
“Hmmm…”
“But now I knew that I had to go through all those tough tests to be blessed with this sweet Thulasi darling…”
“Hmmm…”
“Thulasi…”
“No, don’t start it again… My answer is just the same. Wait till we get married…”
“Thulasi you are very strict… But you are going to suffer for this…”
“Oh really? We will see that…” said Thulasi with a smile.
Days went on rapidly and it was the day before their marriage. Thulasi face was glowing and Kavya and Uma made sure that it was red always! Both the families reached the hotel where the marriage was about to take place. Everyone’s face and heart was filled happiness.
But there was a person whose heart was filled with hatred and was waiting for a chance to take revenge on Thulasi. Ranjan wanted to give a big shock to Thulasi and also Dinakaran. He assumed that Seetha might be the right person for him. His plan was to inform Seetha about their earlier marriage arrangement and somehow make her feel that Thulasi is unlucky…
After reaching the hotel, Dinakaran wanted to meet Thulasi but she was always accompanied by either Kavya or Misha or Uma. And every time he approached her, she felt very shy and her sister and friends continued to tease both of them. While Thulasi felt very uncomfortable, Dinakaran was not deterred by all their teasing… He made sure to find some reason to go and talk to Thulasi very often.
Meanwhile, Kavya and Uma went to bring some snacks and Thulasi sat there alone dreaming about Dinakaran.
“Hello Thulasi!”
Thulasi was startled and was a bit shocked to see Ranjan there.
