Chillzee Recipes - Mor kali
This is a traditional south indian recipe which is easy to prepare. It is a kind of porridge.
INGREDIENTS
Butter Milk - 1 1/2 cup
Raw rice flour - 1 cup
salt as per taste
Red chillies --- 3/4 (If you have Mor Milagaai you can use them)
oil 3/4 spoons
FOR SEASONING
Mustard seeds, Urud dal and chana dal and curry leaves
METHOD
In a bowl mix mix rice flour, butter milk and 1 cup of water.
Mix well such that no lumps are formed.
Add required amount of salt and mix well.
Heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds, urud dal and chana dal. Fry till they become brown and add chillies and curry leaves to it and mix well.
Add the rice flour Mixture to it and stir well
Keep on stirring in the low flame or medium flame so that no lumps are formed
When the mixture starts leaving the sides, remove it from flame and put it on a greased plate.
Serve hot or warm. It thickens on cooling down
Goes well with vaththal kuzhambu or pickle.
