கண்ணன் பயந்தபடி நடந்தது.
மேனேஜர், கண்ணைக் காட்டி, அவனை உள்ளே அழைத்தார்.
" ஒரு குட் நீயூஸ்! கங்கிராட்ஸ்! நேற்று உன்னை பார்த்துவிட்டு வீட்டுக்குப் போனதும், நம்ம ஹெட் ஆபிஸிலிருந்து சேர்மன் போன் பண்ணினார்.
என்னை உடனடியா பிரமோட் பண்ணி, ஹெட் ஆபீஸ் மாற்றிட்டாங்க,வெறும் மேனேஜரிலிருந்து ஜெனரல் மேனேஜர் ஆயிட்டேன்."
" கங்கிராட்ஸ்! ஸ்வீட் கொடுங்க சார், எல்லார்க்கும் தான்!"
" நீயும் எல்லார்க்கும் ஸ்வீட் கொடு, என்னை யார் ரிலீவ் பண்ணப்போறாங்க, தெரியுமா? நீதான்! உனக்கு டபுள் பிரமோஷன்! டபுள் ஸ்வீட் கொடு எல்லார்க்கும்."
" தேங்க்ஸ், சார்! ஸ்வீட் மட்டுமில்லே, விருந்தே வச்சிடறேன்......"
" அவசரப்படாதே! அது நாம ரெண்டுபேரும் சேர்ந்து தருவோம்......"
மேனேஜர் எதை மனதில் வைத்துக்கொண்டு அப்படி சொல்கிறார் எனக் கேட்டு தன் நிம்மதியை குலைத்துக் கொள்ள, ஜே.கே. தயாராக இல்லை!
