He laughed, he was loud, and again she was thinking why is he laughing like this? She felt like she wanted to touch his hand and put her head on his shoulder, she cursed herself what is the matter? What happened to her? Why is she thinking like this, she only knew him for hours and why does she think like this? She could not stop thinking him the same way.
He asked her ‘which is your apartment?’ she said that and he took the car near the parking and he got down and went to her side to open the door for her, she was opening the door herself, she got out and he went to the door handle and closed it.
She turned to him and said ‘thanks Mr.Barath!’
He turned to her and gave a look, locked his car with the remote and turned back to her and walked with her. She was wondering what is he going to do, and asked him.
‘What are you doing? Are you coming with me to my house?’
He said ‘yes, I am’, she asked ‘why?’

He asked her’ don’t you have the courtesy to invite a person home? You are asking me, why am I coming to your house? Your parents did not teach you about the hospitality?’
She said ‘My parents have taught me not to invite strangers to home’
‘So am I the stranger to you?’ He asked her and she said ‘remember, we met just couple of hours ago, how do you expect me to invite you home?’
He said ‘good question, but why did you get out of your office? You are not able to do the work because this stranger disturbed you, is that right?’ he asked,
‘I have severe head ache, so I left the office’ she said and he can see her angry face.
‘How is that, when I saw you couple of hours ago you were alright, after you saw me you were having head ache?’
‘So you agree, you are a head ache to me?’ she asked him back
He said smiling at her ’you agree that the head ache is because of me, so you were thinking of me, see, you are trying to hide it from me that is the reason you are acting that you are angry on me, is that right?’
‘Sorry, you couldn’t hide anything. Your eyes are your enemy, it tells me the truth of your feelings for me Barathi, so stop pushing me. I want to talk to you sweetheart’ he said that in a husky voice
She could not say anything and they went to her apartment and she try to open the door and she was dropping the keys down, she tried it few times, but she could not open it, he moved her and took the keys from the floor and he opened it himself. She thought, why am I like this, what will he think about me?, this guy is so mesmerizing,
They went inside and she asked him if he likes coffee or tea?
He said ‘coffee. ‘She went inside to make coffee for them.
‘While she was making coffee, he surveyed the apartment. It’s a two bedroom apartment in a nice location. The apartment was furnished. He saw the photos on the dresser in her bedroom. The bedroom was maintained very clean and neat.
He saw the bed and he was thinking of her lying on the bed and he was beside her and he closed his eyes and took a deep breathe, when he opened his eyes and turned , Barathi was waiting there for him with coffee in her hand, her face reddened when he saw her. She understood about his thought of the images in the bedroom, he could feel the color on his face too.
She immediately ran inside not seeing his face.
He smiled himself, seeing her shyness and went to the sofa to drink his coffee, she did not come out and he was thinking what is she doing inside, when he is waiting for her here? He called her two times but no response what the….. , he went inside the kitchen to see what she is doing?
She did not drink her coffee yet and she was scrubbing a dish for long time and was thinking something, not knowing what she was doing?
He went near her and touched her shoulder and asked her ‘what are you doing Barathi?’ she said ‘can’t you see I am washing dishes’ he said ‘yes, I saw you scrubbing a dish just in one place for long time and you were thinking of something’
She came to her sense and was scared when he touched her, she instantly pushed his hand and left the dishes in sink and came to the living room.
He asked her ‘did you drink your coffee?’ she said ‘yes’.
But he went inside the kitchen and warmed the coffee on the stove and brought it for her and said ‘drink now’
He told her ‘sit here Barathi, we have to talk’
She asked him ‘what are we going to talk?’
‘We’ve just met today and what’s there to talk’ she asked him hoarsely
‘He was watching her, without blinking his eyes, and told her ‘we have to talk about us’
‘What is there to talk about us? We don’t even know each other well, what’s there to talk’ she asked him
‘Well, now you understand why I said we should talk. We do not know each other before and now we know each other and you and I know very well we like each other, and now we do not want each other to be apart. So, we should talk and we should understand each other and share our feelings’
‘I do not know in the first place whether I have feelings for you or not? I don’t know if we should talk about it. I don’t know if my parents will like this. My parents are orthodox. I don’t know if they will approve any of this.’
He took a deep sigh and went closer to her and sat, she was so nervous and said ‘why do you come closer, sit wherever you are’
He didn’t say anything nor moved from where he was.
He put his hand on her and dragged her closer to him, she was shivering and she tried to push him, she failed in it, he was stronger and now he hugged her and kissed her in her cheek first and closed her mouth with his. Her whole body was trembling, she felt weak.
