லக்ஷ்மி சென்று தன் வீட்டிற்கு அருகில் இருப்பவர்களை தனக்கு உதவ வருமாறு அழைத்தாள்... அடுத்த பத்து நிமிடத்தில் அந்த தெருவே அவர்கள் வீட்டின் அருகில் கூடி, அடுத்து என்ன செய்வதென்று பேச ஆரம்பித்தார்கள்...
“ஏம்மா லக்ஷ்மி... அப்பாக்கு எப்போ இப்படி ஆச்சு... மூச்சு, பேச்சில்லாம இருக்காரே...”
“நெஞ்சை என்னமோ பண்றது... மோர் கலக்கித் தான்னு கேட்டார் அக்கா.... எடுத்துண்டு வரதுக்குள்ள மயங்கிட்டார்....”
“என்னாச்சு ராமா, ஆம்புலன்ஸ் கிடைச்சுதா....”
“இல்லை சார்... ரிங் போகுது... யாரும் எடுக்க மாட்டேங்கறாங்க....”
“நானும் பத்து நிமிஷமா ட்ரை பண்ணிட்டேன் ராமு அண்ணா... லைனே கிடைக்கலை....”
“லக்ஷ்மி இப்படியே பேசிட்டு இருக்கறது வேஸ்ட்... ஆம்புலன்ஸும் கிடைக்க மாட்டேங்குது... நான் வீட்டுக்கு போய் காரை எடுத்துட்டு வரேன்... அப்பாவை உடனே பக்கத்துல இருக்க ஹாஸ்பிடல் கூட்டிட்டு போய்டலாம்... நீ போய் அவரோட பழைய மெடிக்கல் ரிப்போர்ட்ஸ் எடுத்துக்கோ...”, பக்கத்து வீட்டில் இருக்கும் ராபர்ட் சொல்ல லக்ஷ்மி உள்ளே ஓடி தேவையானதை எடுத்து வைத்தாள்...
ராபர்ட்டுடன் இன்னும் இரண்டு மூன்று பேர் சேர்ந்து ரங்கனைத் தூக்க செல்ல, அவர் தலை தொங்கிப் போய் கிடந்தது...
