அந்த ஆராய்ச்சியின் மூலம், ஒட்டகங்களால் மனிதர்களுக்கு நோய்களைப் பரப்ப முடியும். அவற்றிடம் இருந்து தான் ஜலதோஷம் மனிதர்களுக்கு வந்திருக்கிறது என்று நம்புகிறார்கள்.

Animal that transmitted common cold to humans
An international team of researchers has found that one of the four viruses responsible for the common cold – a virus known as HCoV-229E – originated in camels before being transmitted to humans.
Scientists were studying about a deadly disease transmitted from camels. During the process they also found camels contain the pathogens from which the common cold was born.
Camels are able to transmit diseases to humans and this is where they believe the common cold originated.
