ராகவனின் நல்ல காலமா கெட்ட காலமோ தெரியவில்லை வேலை கிடைத்துவிட்டது. அவனுக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்த ஆசிரியர் அந்த நேர்கானலின் மேற்பார்வையாளராக இருந்தார். அதனால் அனைத்து கேள்விகளுக்கு தவறான பதிலை கூறலாம் என்னும் திட்டம் பலிக்கவில்லை.
அது மிகப் பெரிய ஐ.டி. நிறுவனம் ஆதலால் ஊழியர்களின் முதல் ஒருவருட வேலை திறனின் அடிப்படையில்தான் பணி நிரந்திரம் செய்வார்கள்.
“ஒரு வருஷம் வேலைக்கு போ அப்படியே டைரக்டர் ஆக என்னென்ன செய்யணும் பாரு” என்றுவிட்டார் அப்பா.
அவனுக்கும் சரியென பட்டது. இந்த ஒரு வருடம் சரியாக வேலை செய்யாமல் இருந்தால் அவர்களே கழுத்தை பிடித்து தள்ளிவிடுவார்கள் என சந்தோஷப்பட்டான்.
தினமும் மாலை ஆறு மணிவரை தான் வேலை செய்வான். அப்பொழுதுதான் வேலை செய்யவில்லை என நினைப்பார்கள்.
பின்பு கோடம்பாக்கம் ஏவிஎம் ஸ்டூடியோ என தினம் ஓரிடம் சென்றுவிடுவான். சினிமா உலகம் என்பது அவன் நினைத்தது ஒன்றாகவும் காண்பது வேறாகவும் இருந்தது.
“நான் பத்து வருஷமா அசிஸ்டெண்ட் டைரக்டரா இருக்கேன் . . என்னாலயே முடியல . .”
“ஒரு பீடி வாங்கிட்டு வா ” என அனுப்பினான் ஒருவன்.
“நல்ல வேலைய விட்டுட்டு இங்க வராத தம்பி” என முதியவரின் ப்ரீ அட்வைஸ் கிடைத்தது.
அவனின் கனவு மெல்ல மெல்ல தகர்ந்தது.
