கேக்காத இடமா பார்த்து பண்ணி இருப்பாங்க...  எங்கப்பா ரெண்டு மாசமா ஓவர்டைம் வேலை பார்க்குறாரு... பணம் அதிகம் வேணும் அப்படிங்கறதால... எனக்கும் வேலை இல்லை... எப்படி சமாளிக்க போறாங்களோ....”

“சரி விடு... கொஞ்ச நேரம் சந்தோஷமா பேசலாம்ன்னு போன் பண்ணினா ஏண்டா பண்ணினோம்ன்னு யோசிக்கற அளவுக்கு பேசற...  பேசற மூடே போச்சு...  நான் வைக்கிறேன்...”, கோவித்தபடியே அலைபேசியை அணைத்தான் குமார்...

இருக்கும் வாரங்களுக்குள் தன் பெற்றோர் எப்படி அனைத்து ஏற்பாடுகளும் செய்து முடிக்கப் போகிறார்கள் என்ற கவலையில் இருக்க, மிகுந்த சோர்வுடன் வீட்டினுள் நுழைந்தார் திவ்யாவின் தந்தை...

“எங்கங்க இருக்கீங்க நீங்க....”

“இன்னா ருக்கு... தண்டயார்பேட்டையாண்ட ஆக்ஸிடென்ட்  ஆகிடுச்சு...அங்க போய் ஆளுங்களை ஏத்திட்டு ஆஸ்பத்திரி போயிட்டு இருக்கேன்...”

“இங்க உங்க அம்மா கீழ விழுந்துட்டாங்க... மண்டைல நல்ல அடி... காலும் நல்லா வீங்க ஆரம்பிக்குது... என்னால தூக்க முடியலை... அக்கம் பக்கமும் யாரும் வர மாட்றாங்க... போன மாசம் அவங்களுக்கு கொரோனா வந்ததால இன்னமும் பக்கத்துல வர பயப்படறாங்க... நான் அவங்களுக்கு இப்போ ஒண்ணும் இல்லை கொஞ்சம் உதவி பண்ணுங்கன்னு சொன்னாலும் யாரும் கேக்கறதில்லை...”

“அவங்களை வீட்டுக்குள்ள வச்சிருக்க ஒண்ணும் சொல்லாம இருக்காங்களே.... அதுக்கே சந்தோஷப்படு... சரி எனக்கு அடுத்த வேலை ஒண்ணும் இல்லை... இங்க ஆஸ்பத்திரில சொல்லிட்டு  நான் கிளம்பி வரேன்...”, தன் 108 ஆம்புலன்ஸை வேகவேகமாக ஓட்ட ஆரம்பித்தான் ராமு...
