அவள் தனக்குத் தானே சிரித்துக் கொண்டாள்....

"என்னம்மா நீயே சிரிச்சிக்கிற?"

"இல்ல அஜய், நீ எப்படி உன்ன கண்டிபுடிச்சேன்னு கேட்டியே அதான், உன் அப்பா, அப்படியே உன்ன மாதிரியே இருப்பார் உன் வயசிலே, முதல்ல நான் அவருக்கு வேற கல்யாணம் ஆயி அவர் மகனா இருக்கும்னு தான் நினைச்சேன். அப்புறம் உன் வயதை வைத்து நீ என் குழந்தைதான் என்ற தீர்மானத்திற்கு வந்தேன்.

“எப்படி அப்பாவை மிஸ் செய்தே?”

"நான் லீவில் இருந்தேன், அப்போது அவன் ஊரை விட்டு போயிட்டான். நான் ஸ்கூலுக்கு திரும்பி வந்தப்போ அவன் ஊரை விட்டு போய்விட்டான் என்று பிரெண்ட்ஸ் எல்லாம் சொன்னாங்க."

"ம்ம், இப்போ பாட்டி, தாத்தா போன் நம்பர் இல்லைன்னா நம்ம நேரே ஊருக்கு போவோமே, அவங்களை போய் பார்க்கலாம்," என்றான் அஜய்.

"போகலாம் அதுக்கு முன்னே நாம ஜாஃபர் அங்கிள் கிட்டே பேசணும். எல்லாத்துக்கும் மேலே உங்க அப்பா எங்கிருக்கார்னு கண்டுபிடிக்கணும், அது தெரியாம நான் அவங்களை பார்க்க போறதில்ல. " என்று வேதனையோடு கூறினாள்.

"மாஸ்டர்கிட்ட  இன்னிக்கே பேசு, நாம நாளைக்கு போகலாம்." என்றான் அஜய்.

" இல்ல, இப்ப போகமுடியாது. "

"ஏம்மா?"

" அவங்க மருமக ... ஆக்சிடெண்ட்ல இறந்துட்டாங்க. அதனால, இப்போ அவர டிஸ்டர்ப் செய்யக் கூடாது."

"நீ சொல்லவேயில்ல, நான் போன் பண்ணி பேசறேன் மாஸ்டர்கிட்ட. "

"இப்போ இல்ல, இன்னும் ரெண்டு நாளைக்கு அப்புறம் பேசலாம்."

ஜாஃபர் அங்கிள் தனக்கும், தன் மகனுக்கும் எவ்வளவு ஹெல்ப் செய்திருக்கிறார், என்று மனதுக்குள் நினைத்து கொண்டாள்.
